FAQ

Short answers to common questions.

#Do I need a wallet?

Not for the testnet demo: it creates a throwaway account and pays every fee. You can also connect a testnet wallet.

#Is this real money?

Not in the demo: test USDC on NEAR testnet and Plaid's sandbox bank. The mainnet contract exists but has made no loans.

#Can someone else check my limit or re-score my account?

No. Every score request is signed with your account's own key: on mainnet by your transaction, on the testnet demo by a one-time signed challenge.

#Can KredoFi see my transactions?

On mainnet, no: they are read inside the enclave and never leave it. On the testnet demo the scorer runs on our server, which sees them while scoring and keeps only the public output.

#Why is my band lower than I expected?

Open your passbook: the five rule results show which rules cost points, and refused scores list what would change them. The rules are on Scoring model.

#Why can't I borrow my full limit?

The pool lends one borrower at most 10% of its value, and only what it has in cash. The borrow form shows the most you can take now.

#Why didn't my limit go up?

A repayment raises your level only after the minimum hold, on a loan of at least half your limit, at most once per loan term. The Repaid entry says which condition wasn't met.

#Can I use the same bank with two accounts?

No. One bank identity backs one borrower. (On testnet, the shared sandbox login is tied to each NEAR account so every visitor can try it.)

#What happens if I don't repay?

After the due date plus grace, anyone can mark the default. The reserve pays lenders first, you can't borrow again, and your sealed name can be released to the recovery partner.

#Who is the recovery partner?

In this demo, a simulated partner whose key is held by the developer. A real deployment would use a licensed collection or credit partner.

#Can the owner take the money?

No owner method can move lender cash, loans or the reserve. But the contract keys still allow a code upgrade; see Security.

#How do I check any of this?

Verify it yourself.
